How HiDesertPet works

Create the flyer. We help get it seen.

Submit one clear photo, the location, and a few basic details about the dog. HiDesertPet automatically creates a polished digital flyer for social media and a printable PDF you can post around town.

Finished cases are reviewed by the HiDesertNEWS News Desk and may be shared through our local news and social channels to help reach more people in the Morongo Basin.

There is no charge to use HiDesertPet.

Dogs first. Cats are coming.

We’re starting with lost and found dogs while we test and refine the system. Cat support is planned once the dog workflow is running smoothly.

HiDesertPet is currently in beta.

This is a new community service and we’re improving it as real people use it. If something behaves oddly, give us a little patience—we’re actively working on it.

A few things to know: Flyers are generated from the information you provide, so clear photos and accurate locations make a big difference. Posting by HiDesertNEWS is intended to help increase visibility, but it cannot guarantee that a missing pet will be located or reunited.
